FCL ocean freight from Brazil
FCL ocean freight from Brazil: we quote, coordinate the booking and follow the contracted ocean leg, aligning cargo, equipment and the available sailing schedule.
Who is ocean freight for?
- Who it is for. Companies importing or exporting by sea.
- What you receive. Booking and follow-up of the contracted ocean leg.
- Service period. From quotation to the closing milestone set in the proposal.
When does ocean freight need more than a rate?
Comparing only the ocean rate can hide local charges, an additional connection or a sailing window that does not fit production. The decision needs to consider the cost of the agreed scope, cargo readiness and the cutoffs for documents and terminal receiving.
This service fits when:
- You need to compare sailings using equivalent ports, equipment and conditions.
- Your cargo will be ready on a specific date and the schedule must fit collection and shipping cutoffs.
- You want to understand what the freight quote includes and which charges still need confirmation.

How does FCL ocean freight work with Sync Port?
- 1
Define the requirement
We receive ports or addresses, cargo description, weight, volume and readiness. In an FCL shipment, a container is booked for exclusive use; equipment selection depends on the goods and availability.
- 2
Present the conditions
The written proposal sets out the route, estimated transit, validity and itemised charges for the agreed scope, including origin and destination charges where applicable. It identifies exclusions, amounts awaiting confirmation and conditions that may change the cost. We explain differences between the quote and the final invoice against the agreed terms and the available supporting records.
- 3
Confirm the booking and cutoffs
After acceptance, we coordinate the booking, which reserves the transport. We align the deadlines for documents, weight information and terminal receiving, with an owner for each submission.
- 4
Follow the shipment
We follow milestones within the contracted leg. When a carrier reports a rollover, cancelled sailing or delay, we send an update with the revised dates, what remains unconfirmed and the impact on deadlines within our scope. We set out the next action and any alternatives that need your approval.
What does the scope cover?
Ocean freight covers the transport and services expressly listed in the proposal. Our role may include quotations, booking coordination and follow-up. Road transport, customs clearance, insurance, storage and destination charges should each be checked against the contracted scope.
Who does what?
- Sync Port. Presents terms, coordinates the booking and follows the contracted ocean leg.
- Customer. Provides accurate details, approves the proposal and identifies document and cargo-readiness owners.
- Carrier and terminal. Confirm space, schedules, receiving and release within their responsibilities.
What do you need to request an FCL quote?
Send what you have. If anything is still undecided, tell us what is missing.
Ports and dates. Origin, destination, cargo readiness and date constraints.
Cargo and dimensions. Description of the goods, package count, gross weight in kg and dimensions per package in cm (length × width × height).
Equipment. The intended container, if known, and any temperature, handling or special cargo requirements.
Terms and contacts. The Incoterm and agreed place, where applicable, and the shipper and consignee contacts you have.
What happens after you hire?
- Booking. We coordinate booking confirmation and gather the schedule and cutoffs provided by the carrier and terminal.
- Instructions and draft. The assigned owners provide shipping details and review the draft bill of lading before the confirmed deadline.
- VGM and cargo delivery. Identify who provides the verified gross mass of the container (VGM), where required, and who confirms terminal delivery.
How long does it take and what affects the cost?
Ocean transit is only part of the timeline: preparation, booking, collection, terminal receiving and releases may also be involved. Departure and arrival dates are estimates subject to the carrier's schedule and shipment conditions. We confirm the follow-up period in the proposal.
What affects the cost?
- Route and equipment. Ports, connections, container type, weight and space availability influence the quotation.
- Freight and local charges. Check currency, validity, origin and destination charges, and which legs the same proposal includes.
- Time and changes. Check free-time terms (the agreed period of container use before additional charges) and any storage or container overstay charges relevant to the shipment.
Example: planning an export container
Situation. An exporter needs to ship a container through the Port of Santos and has an estimated production completion date, but collection has not yet been confirmed.
How we help. We compare readiness with the available sailing schedule and shipping cutoffs. The proposal describes the ocean leg and clarifies whether collection is included or will be coordinated with the customer's selected carrier.
What planning provides. A plan that connects cargo readiness, collection, terminal receiving and documents. If one date is not feasible, the alternative is assessed before the shipment is treated as confirmed.
Frequently asked questions
What does an ocean freight quote include?
The proposal lists the leg, equipment, included charges, currency, validity and exclusions. Collection, delivery, customs clearance, insurance and local charges must be checked against the scope; they are not automatically part of every quote.
What does FCL mean in ocean shipping?
FCL stands for Full Container Load: a mode in which a container is booked for the shipment's exclusive use, even if it is not completely full. We assess equipment, weight, volume and availability for your operation.
Is transit time the delivery date for the goods?
No. Transit is an estimate for the ocean leg. Time to delivery can include preparation, collection, terminals, documents and releases, depending on the contract. A vessel's estimated arrival is not, by itself, the final delivery date.
Does a vessel booking confirm the entire shipment?
No. We follow the booking together with the other milestones: cargo readiness, documentary cutoffs, weight information and terminal receiving. A booking does not remove these requirements or the possibility of schedule changes.
How do you follow a vessel or date change?
We check the available information, relate the change to deadlines and contracted services, and communicate its impact and the action required. A new schedule needs confirmation by the responsible parties; costs or alternatives requiring acceptance are referred to you.
Ready to ship your FCL container?
Gather the shipment details you have. We assess the requirement, clarify what is still missing and define the proposal scope with you. A person answers by the next business day at the latest.
